Fairway Lodge is situated in a fantastic location to meet the needs of visitors who have arrived in Devon to experience an active holiday. 

Whether you are a keen walker, cyclist, golfer, surfer or adventure seeker there is something for everyone.

If you just want to chill out on a beach, visit the many tourist attractions including Eden in Cornwall or experience the exceptional food in the many local pubs and restaurants, just ask us and we’ll be able to point you in the right direction.


Hints and tips



We are only half a mile from the Ashbury Golf course and are able to offer a discount on Green Fees.


Our guests will have access to a nearby indoor swimming pool opening soon.

Water sports

With five Angling and Water sports Centres, thirteen coarse and thirteen trout fisheries, miles of footpaths winding through the countryside, and space for informal games at many of the sites, a visit to one of SW lakes trust many lakes will keep you entertained for hours. Wind surfing is available.


The Dartmoor National Park is a walker’s dream.  There are so many walks, we’ve lost count.  We can provide detailed maps for guests who stay with us during their stay or alternatively visit the Tourist Information Centre in Okehampton for further information.


Fairway Lodge is close to the Ruby Trail development, offering a network of rural walks, cycle paths and bridleways connecting to the famous Tarka Trail and Dartmoor. 

Surf and adventure sports

The North Coast of Devon can be reached by car in around 20 minutes and provides excellent surf and adrenaline seekers activities.  For details on specialist activities visit

Horse Riding

Fairway Lodge is situated within a few miles of several stables who offer trekking over the moors. Its always advisable to book ahead of your visit to avoid any possible disappointment.
